What we have done

CO-VER Power Technology will design, build, finance and operate a new cooling system named Free Cooling for six years.

The plant will have a refrigerating capacity of 3,100 kW and will allow a share of estimated electricity saving of about 3,600 MWh, corresponding to approximately 670 tonnes of oil equivalent.

    MEMC Electronic Materials S.p.A. is part of the GW (Global Wafers) Group. They transform the ultra-pure monocrystalline silicon rods into reduced-thickness silicon plates for use in the micro-electronics industry in the production of semiconductors such as integrated circuits, memories, microprocessors, etc.
  • REQUIREMENT
    Finding additional energy efficiency investments to be carried out by CPT at the MEMC facility.
  • SOLUTION
    CO-VER Power Technology, with the help of MEMC engineers, conducted site surveys and engineering studies that have identified the opportunity to use Free Cooling as an aid to the production of cooling water.
